Psychotherapy techniques are implemented to address client's problems and identify their issues. These are also an integral part of the hypnotherapy consultation process.
There are various forms of psychotherapy that can be used to define the often deeply seated issues that require addressing. The therapist may intuitively integrate different forms of psychotherapy within the consultation process or depending on the client, an individual technique may be adopted. All areas of the client's issue will be explored, revealing the various aspects that cause most concern.
Following this the appropriate course of action is decided upon between the client and the therapist.
This may involve analysis, NLP methods, cognition and behavioural techniques, dream work, colour wheel work, gestalt therapy, parts therapy, inner child work, age regression, past life regression, hypnotherapy and counselling, or an integration of all of the methods to achieve a resolution of client's problem. Usually a session will last between 60 - 90 minutes.
The number and frequency of sessions is discussed fully with the client before continuing with a couse of action. This is dependant on the presenting issue, the client's wishes and the outcome of each therapy session. The client always has a choice to implement any changes to the content of the therapy.
